Brand new Inuit art centre, Qaumajuq, opens March 25 and to celebrate the launch, video projections are being displayed on the exterior of the Winnipeg Art Gallery and Qaumajuq buildings. Qaumajuq, which means “it is bright, it is lit” in Inuktitut, will be home to the largest public collection of contemporary Inuit art in the world. The light show, inspired by the Northern Lights, runs Sunday-Thursday from 6pm-10pm until the end of March. Special projections can be seen Friday and Saturday evenings, displaying a curated video series of Inuit art.
