This adaptation of Khaled Hosseini’s (The Kite Runner) bestselling novel tells the story of two women living through one of the harshest eras of Afghanistan’s history. Laila and her husband’s first wife, Mariam, are brought together by oppression and form an unbreakable bond. Together they have the courage to challenge a tyrannical society and create hope for the future.
