The warm, friendly atmosphere, personal touches, and thoughtful blend of elevated pub fare with mass appeal make this spot stand out.
Located at the corner of Dakota and Meadowood Drive, Grizzly Goose opened in September, taking over the former site of longtime Greek restaurant, Bellamy’s. The open-concept dining room features a mix of simple wooden tables, high-top stools, and a pool table that invites casual play and conversations.
The menu is a playful mix of classic comfort fare and upscale pub grub. Shareable appetizers like quesadillas, chicken wings, and nachos hit all the right notes, while the burgers and sandwiches shine with contemporary toppings that elevate the experience.
The vegan burger features a delicious zucchini and carrot patty topped with blueberry barbecue sauce, sautéed mushrooms, and fresh greens. Meanwhile, the open steak sandwich layers charred sirloin with creamy fior di latte, chimichurri, and a tangle of arugula for flavourful bites.
Fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, and the beloved souvlaki platter (a Bellamy’s favorite) are all popular picks. Other mains, like the braised pork belly, offer refined simplicity. Glazed with soy and served with roasted cabbage, apple, arugula, and mashed potatoes, it’s comforting yet elegant.
The cabbage rolls are a true comfort food classic—six rice-filled rolls blanketed in marinara sauce and topped with dollops of sour cream. It’s a hearty dish perfect for sharing.
Pizzas round out the menu, and of the few available options, The Don is a standout. With its Mediterranean veggie medley and crispy thin crust, it’s a pizza that tastes as if it came straight from Italy.
