Add an element of surprise with your next apple pie.
Mummy pie crust
5 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3 Tbsp sugar
1 lb lard
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 Tbsp vinegar
1. Mix dry ingredients and sift together.
2. Cut lard into dry ingredients.
3. Mix together egg and vinegar, and add enough water to make 3/4 cup. Add to dry ingredients and mix lightly.
4. Form into pie crust portions.
Yield 2 double pie crusts
