Nuburger’s entry for Le Burger Week 2016 features a zingy orange salsa and a blast of heat from sweet chilli mayo.
1/2 cup red grapes
2 tsp tomatoes, diced
2 tsp red onions, diced
pinch sea salt
1 tsp fresh mint, chopped
Sweet Chilli Mayo
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 Tbsp Sriracha sauce
4 Tbsp sweet chilli sauce
4 burger buns
4 Manitoba beef patties
8-12 slices bacon
3/4 cup goat cheese
1 cup mixed greens
1 tomato, sliced
- Slice peel off the oranges, removing all outer pulp. Slice oranges and grapes gently, to prevent crushing, until diced. Orange pieces should be about 1/4” and grapes half the size of the orange pieces.
- Combine all ingredients, mixing gently with a rubber spatula
Sweet Chilli Mayo
- Whisk all ingredients together until combined.
- Grill beef patties and toast buns. Spread buns with mayo.
- Top bottom bun with orange salsa, beef patty, bacon, goat cheese, greens, tomato and top half of bun.
